TRADITIONAL CELEBRATIONS ARE INTEGRAL TO THE SUMMER EVENT PROGRAMME IN STUMM

Religion and tradition are a mainstay in Stumm, framed by numerous festivals and celebrations.

HIKING

Hiking in the Zillertal mountains is something quite special indeed. You'll never cease to marvel at all that mountain scenery. Beginners as well as passionate mountaineers will feel right at home here.

BIKING

... 24 gears, a seducing perspective, and to top it all more than 300 km marked bike paths in the entire valley. 30 tours, ranging from simple paths between Strass and Mayrhofen with a total lenth of 40 m and an altitude difference of only 83 m (duration: 3 - 4 hours) to eventful mountainbike tours to alpine pastures and mountain cabins. The Ziller valley bike map is a good companion for these rambling trips.

WATER FUN

Many outdoor pools as well as the Erlebnistherme Zillertal spa are located in the vicinity and can be reached by car or by bike within a few minutes. A special attraction is the new outdoor pool in Stumm with swimming pond and many other attractions!

ALTERNATIVE PROGRAMMES

If you should feel the desire to do something different for a change, let yourself be inspired by the variety of programmes on offer in the entire valley. You will have no chance to feel bored! Simply ask us - we are glad to help you.

GOLFING

The golf course in Uderns is an 18-hole championship course with a large practice area and a total of 35 tee-offs, 18 of which are sheltered, a chipping and a pitching green as well as putting greens. The unique golf course setting with idyllic views of the Zillertal mountains is characterised by a maximum of elegance and exclusivity.

The beautifully designed, challenging, scenic 18-hole par 71 golf course is very impressive as it is set in a landscape of rolling hills with fruit trees, picturesque water hazards, numerous bunkers, well-tended fairways and contoured greens.

Unique holes and perfect course conditions provide interesting golfing experiences surrounded by nature. At 550 metres above sea level, this is the lowest-lying golf course in all of Tyrol.

VIA FERRATA

Fixed rope routes (via ferrata) are ideal for people who want to explore a bit more of the Zillertal alpine world than just the hiking trails. The marked routes offer you steep, spectacular climbs. Climb higher and higher up the steep rocks with the help of fixed steel cables, anchors and ladders. Your aim is always to reach the exit or the summit. There are different levels of difficulty, just as in "proper" rock climbing. These range from A for children to D/E for true rock-climbing professionals and fearless adrenaline junkies. Almost everybody can master the easy routes, whereas the level D/E routes require very strong arms and legs as well as a high degree of skill. However, climbers on these routes are rewarded with even more unbelievable panoramic views.

NORDIC WALKING

Nordic Walking means walking, stretching, strength exercises with special sticks. A soft whole-body training for everybody. The beautiful hiking landscape in the forward end of the Zillertal is perfectly suited for people of all ages, for beginners and athletes, to practice this sport in their holidays and thus have an opportunity to balance out the stress in their everyday life even after their holidays are over.
